How To Style Picture Ledges

Picture ledges are one of the most versatile ways to fill a wall. They are so easy to change and restyle without leaving holes in the wall! You can also add plants, books, and decor pieces to create a curated collection. To make them look effortlessly put together, I have some tips for you!

  1. You’ll want to have different sized frames for layering and height variation. Selecting a couple different styles of frames will help create a more interesting look.
  2. Start by adding your biggest pieces first. Then you will add the next size down, and so on.
  3. Leaving a little space, either between the frames or at the ends of the ledge, will keep it from looking too heavy and cluttered.
  4. For a cohesive and purposeful look, choose a theme. This could be the type of artwork, colors, etc. It could even be neutrals with a pop of color.
  5. Have fun with it! There are so many ways to style them! If you have commitment issues when it comes to wall decor, picture ledges are for you!
