Turkey Charcuterie Board

| |

Hello and welcome to the blog!!! Today I am sharing one of the funnest charcuterie boards I’ve ever made!! Its a Turkey Board!!! It was actually easy to make too. I found this idea from the book Beautiful Boards. This book is full of good ideas and would make a great gift too. I have the ingredients and instructions below! Let me know if you make it! Happy Thanksgiving!!

INGREDIENTS:

1 brown Bosc pear

26 orange cheddar cheese cracker cuts, divided

1red bell pepper or red apple

Honey, for adhering items to the pear

1½ cups (225 g) candied pecans, divided

1 macadamia nut, cut in half ½ cup (60 g) dried cherries, divided 34 scalloped crackers

22 green grapes, cut in half lengthwise

22 red grapes, cut in half lengthwise

20 baby carrots

20 dried apricots

24 snow peas

INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. Cut the pear in half, leaving the core on one side, and place the half without the core, cut side down, centered at the bottom of the board.
  2. For the beak, cut a corner off one of the cheddar cracker cuts and place it upside down on the pear.
  3. For the snood, cut a small piece of a red bell pepper or red apple and adhere it under the beak with a little honey.
  4. For the feet, place 2 candied pecans at the bottom of the pear and adhere them with a little honey so they stick in place.
  5. For the eyes, use the macadamia nut halves with a piece of dried cherry stuck to the center of the flat side of each one. Place them on the pear, flat side up, with a little honey to hold them in place.
  6. From the pear, fan out all the snacks to look like turkey feathers: Place the scalloped crackers in 3 lines first, then add 2 lines of the remaining cheese cracker cuts between the lines of crackers.
  7. Add the green grapes, cut sides down, between the crackers and cheese on the left side. Add the red grapes, cut sides down, between the crackers and cheese on the right side.
  8. Place half of the remaining pecans between the cheese and crackers on the left side of the turkey and the other half between the cheese and crackers on the ride side of the turkey.
  9. Fan the baby carrots out from the pear on the left side just below the line of crackers. Fan the dried apricots out from the pear on the right side just below the line of crackers on that side.
  10. Place 12 snow peas so they’re sticking out under the carrots on the left side and place the other 12 snow peas so they’re sticking out under the dried apricots on the right side.
  11. Add the remaining ¼ cup (30 g) dried cherries to each side of the bottom of the pear.
